In general, the process of registering a record with Best of India Records (BIR) is quite simple. Here is a step-by-step description of the process that one needs to follow.

Write to us mentioning the specific category or type of record that you want to attempt and the proposed time and venue for it along with the applicant’s address, contact number, email ID, etc. This may be done through e-mail. Please note that e-mailed applications are likely to receive a faster response.

Shortly, the applicant will be informed (usually through email) whether the proposed attempt can be considered for record entry or not, and if yes, about the procedure to be followed and a list of documents to be submitted (both before & after the attempt) in a step-by-step manner.

The applicant then has to submit an Attempt Proposal in the prescribed format (received through email) along with a self-attested copy of valid identity proof. In some cases, additional documents like duly filled Disclaimer Form, Permission Letter, Medical/Fitness Certificates, etc. may also be required. On verification and approval of the above, the applicant will be allotted a unique Claim ID (which is to be quoted in all correspondences thereafter).

With all arrangements for proper verification and documentation in place, the applicant then goes ahead and makes the record attempt strictly as per the rules & guidelines provided. After a successful attempt, a duly filled Record Entry Form is submitted along with all supporting documents (mentioned in the document list).

The received documents then undergo scrutiny at our end, following which the record is either confirmed or rejected. The accepted entries will be acknowledged through the mail and a record certificate will be issued, which completes the entry process.
Note: 1. Persons who have already done the attempt before getting in touch with us can also apply, provided their claim can be established with the help of authentic evidence. In such cases, specific guidelines will be provided to them. 2. For those who opt for On-the-Spot Verification (refer to Services) Step 5 will be done at the event venue.
