Fastest-Built Church (927.7 sq m)

St Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, a 927.7-square-meter religious structure at Aryampadam, Parlikkad, Thrissur, Kerala, India was built in just 100 days from Oct 22, 2023 by a team led by Er. Jose Sunny Kattukaran, Chairman of Katpenter Projects India Pvt Ltd.

Unique star-shaped church

The Archdiocese of Delhi consecrated and opened a unique star-shaped church named ‘Morning Star’ as part of its eco-spirituality centre Ish Vatika in Najafgarh, Delhi, India on 10-10-2020. The marvellously designed pentagon structure looks like a star from all five sides of the pentagon and from the top. It stands 52 feet tall with a 14 feet star-cross on it. The concept & design of the project was done by Fr Stanley Kozhichira. Architects Ranjit P John and Joel P John accomplished the architectural design. The project was executed by Abraham Mathew of M/s Ark Infratech. M.J. Joseph and V.J. James were the contactors.

Tallest building in Indian tricolour

The Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates was illuminated with the colours of Indian National Flag on Jan 26, 2017 as India celebrated its 68th Republic . The LED lighting display was also accompanied by musical fountains dancing to the tunes of Jai Ho and Vande Mataram, three times in the evening. The structure stands a total height of 829.8 m (2,722 ft).

World’s tallest slide

The world’s tallest and longest tunnel slide was opened at the ArcelorMittal Orbit in London in April 2016. The 178 m long, 76 m high slide was made out of a 114-m tall steel art structure created for the 2012 London Olympics. Guess who sculpted it? Mumbai-born artist Anish Kapoor, currently based in London

City with most skyscrapers

Mumbai with 94 skyscrapers (buildings that are 150 m tall or higher) is the topper among Indian cities and ranks the 11th in the world in the number of skyscrapers. The number of high-rise buildings (35 m or 12 stories tall) in the city stood at 2,485, ranking 15th in the world.

Tallest 3D Illustration of Architectural Building

Under the guidance of Principal Suresh Lakde and Art teachers Kunal Rajnekar, Rupesh Bhele, Ajay Solanke and Rina Rohankar, a team of 15 students from School of Scholars, Amravati, Maharashtra created a 14 ft tall three-dimensional (3D) illustration of an architectural structure demonstrating floor balancing techniques based on aerodynamic shapes, at the school premises on March 10, 2017. They used materials like old newspapers, cardboard boxes, metal wires, ropes and glue. The installation took five days to complete.

World’s tallest statue

The Statue of Unity, a 182-metre (597 ft) tall statue of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel standing on a river island facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Narmada, Gujarat, India is the tallest statue in the world. The total height of the structure including the base is 240 m (790 ft). Designed by Ram V Sutar, the concrete statue with steel frame and bronze cladding was built by Larsen & Toubro. It was constructed under the auspices of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust and was dedicated to the nation on Oct 31, 2018.

Longest rail-road bridge in the country

The 4.94 km long Bogibeel Bridge over the Brahmaputra river in Assam is India’s longest rail-road bridge. The bridge, inaugurated on Dec 25, 2018, reduces the distance of rail journey between Dibrugarh in Assam and Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh by 750 km.
