A record 21,588.2 kg of stationery items for school students were collected in a day as part of a campaign launched by Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the prince of Udaipur, Rajasthan, India on August 20, 2019.
Largest donation of clothes to the needy
The 'Vastradan' campaign initiated by Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the prince of Udaipur, Rajasthan, India received a record collection of 3,29,250 pieces of clothing from over 76,000 donors for distribution to the needy on March 9, 2019. The campaign reached out to over 120 schools, 15 colleges and around 30 NGOs.
Largest palliative care campaign in a day
Pratheeksha Charitable Society, Koottanad, Palakkad, Kerala organized ‘Manaveeyam 2020’, the country’s largest palliative home care campaign in a day, in which 83 palliative care teams in 83 vehicles visited 580 patients at their homes in less than six hours from 10.00 am on Jan 12, 2020. Participants included 400 volunteers, 10 doctors and 10 nurses.
Largest hand hygiene awareness campaign by private healthcare institution
Sharp Sight Centre, a group of eye hospitals based in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) organized an awareness campaign on hand hygiene simultaneously at its seven centres from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on May 5, 2017, the World Hand Hygiene Day. The event involved approximately 2,000 people including patients and attendants, making it the largest such single-day campaign by a private healthcare institution in the country.
Most money raised on a 6-hr telethon
#IndiaForKerala telethon, an NDTV special initiative in partnership with Tata Sky and Dabur, raised over Rs 10.4 crore to help the people of Kerala rebuild their lives after the worst flood of the century wreaked havoc on the state in August 2018. The six-hour telethon was aired from Mumbai on August 26, 2018 with celebrities including political leaders, social activists, performing artistes as guests while donations kept pouring in. All donations went directly to NDTV partner NGO Plan India, involved in the rehabilitation work.
Most party games books in Braille distributed
Shubhangi Apte (63) of M R Colony, Raipur, Chhattisgarh compiled a book of 25 party games in Braille, titled Party Games Part I (Collection of Fun, Puzzles & Games), and released it on April 8, 2012. Since then she has distributed 967 copies of the book free of cost to the visually challenged individuals and blind schools, the largest by an individual author/compiler. She has also published and distributed 550 copies of a Pocket Rangoli book.
Outstanding success in child rights promotion
Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS)-Don Bosco, the development organization of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, established in 1993, holds a unique and outstanding record in the promotion of child rights. Through its flagship program, Child Rights Education and Action Movement (CREAM), launched in 2012, it has so far reached out to over 2,50,000 children across 10 districts of Karnataka. As part of CREAM, children and other stakeholders have stopped 707 child marriages, rescued 2,732 children from child labour and trained 1,94,821 children on child rights.

Largest number of school admissions at the lower primary level in a single day was achieved by Government Town LP School, Cherthala in Kerala, which successfully enrolled 233 students on April 12, 2018. The admission process started at 12.00 noon with the enrolment of Siddhi Arvind Pai and was completed in just 4 hours!

Largest number of school admissions at the lower primary level in less than an hour was achieved by Government Town LP School, Cherthala, Kerala, which successfully enrolled 247 students in 55 minutes on May 3, 2019. The record admission process, an idea proposed by B N Madhu, started with the enrolment of Ethal Asha Singh in the presence of the Municipal Chairman of Cherthala Adv P Unnikrishnan.
