Most Caste Certificates Distributed in a Day
Prof. Rajendra Harishchandra Madhavi, Vice President of Uran Samajik Sanshta, Uran, Raigad, Maharashtra, together with a team of volunteers and in collaboration with civil authorities organized a camp for the tribal people at Akhada Wadi, Karnala, Barapada, Panvel, Raigad, in which 1,118 Caste Certificates were distributed in nine hours from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm on Nov 15, 2021. They also helped in filling 803 forms for the same.
WR: Largest autorikshaw top branding campaign
A mass autorikshaw branding campaign, undertaken as a prelude to the 2021 Assembly elections in Kerala, had 8,400 autorickshaws with their tops designed with the election slogan of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), ‘Urappanu LDF’, deployed across all 14 districts of the state within a span of five days from March 1, 2021. For and under the supervision of the creative agency Maitri Advertisment Works Pvt Ltd, Kochi, the unique project was executed by Praveen Symphony of Symphony Entertainments and a team of 15 members.
Most face masks distributed in 6 hours
To celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan and with a view to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh District Police undertook the ‘Ek Rakshasutra Mask Ka’ campaign distributing 14.87 lakh face masks to the people in six hours on August 3, 2020, setting a world record. It was achieved by the police team, led by district police chief Santosh Kumar Singh, with the support of volunteers from various agencies, organisations and the general public.
World’s largest Covid Care facility
With over 10,000 beds in a single campus, Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre and Hospital (SPCCCH) at Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Delhi, India, inaugurated on July 5, 2020, is the largest Covid care facility in the world. Created on emergency basis in just 10 days by the South Delhi District Administration, it is meant to function as an isolation centre for mild and asymptomatic patients.
World’s largest Covid-19 lockdown
India’s nationwide lockdown involving 1.3 billion plus people, which started with a three-week lockdown from March 25, 2020 and later extended for another 19 days, completes 40 days on May 3, making it the largest in the world! All public transport systems, factories, construction works, markets, shops and places of worship remained closed as citizens were asked to stay home and practice social distancing.
Most stages-on-wheels in shortest time
For electoral campaign during the general elections 2019, Praveen Symphony (b August 6, 1980) of Symphony Entertainments, Kochi, Kerala, together with a team of nine members, completed building 20 stages-on-wheels in just 85 hours and 30 minutes from 8.00 am on March 27-30, 2019. The stages were put up on commercial vehicle bases using eco-friendly materials.
Most EVMs used for polling in a LS constituency
Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency in Telangana set a world record as it went to the polls on April 11, 2019 during the general elections 2019. With 185 candidates in the fray (of these 178 were farmers contesting to press for their demands), each polling station had 12 ballot units of electronic voting machines (EVMs) arranged in an ‘L’ shape! The M3 type EVMs, each displaying maximum 16 names, were coupled in series and attached to a control unit.
Singing most national anthems (team)
As part of Project ‘Anyonyam’ for world peace and universal brotherhood, a team of five students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kanjikode, Palakkad, Kerala, India comprising Vishal Krishnan, Abheek R, C Nanditha Krishna, Tanusha T and H Vaishnavi rendered the Anthems of 100 nations at the school on June 7, 2019. A DVD of the rendition, produced with the help of co-students K G Antony and Drisanth M, was also released two days later. The feat was achieved under the guidance of their mentor Leena Mukundan and with the support of Dr S Nalayani (former Principal), Rajeswari K (Principal) and Mujib Rahiman K U (Librarian).
Tallest Indian tricolour
The tallest Indian tricolour within the country flutters at Attari village in Amritsar, Punjab, 3 km from the Indo-Pakistani border at Wagah. It was hoisted on March 5, 2017. The 120 ft long and 80 ft wide flag hoisted on a 360 ft (110 m) tall pole can be spotted from Lahore in Pakistan. The Punjab government project was undertaken by the Amritsar Improvement Trust.
