World’s tallest coriander plant
Gopal Dutt Upreti, an organic farmer from Bilkesh village in Ranikhet, Uttarakhand has grown the world’s tallest coriander (dhania) plant which measured 2.16 m (7.1 feet) as on April 21, 2020. Generally, coriander plants grow up to 4½ feet tall. He uses traditional farming techniques.
World’s largest cattle care programme in a day
Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd successfully organized the third edition of ‘Pashu Vikas Day’, the world’s largest single-day cattle care programme, at 225 locations across 13 states on Dec 15, 2018. With the support of over 3,000 Fullerton India volunteers and government veterinary doctors, the CSR event provided free health check-ups to over 40,000 cattle heads and expert advice to 12,500 cattle owners.
