First bike rider to cover the Four Corners of India
The first ever two-wheeler expedition connecting the four extreme points of India was accomplished by R Chiranthana of Bengaluru, who covered 14,104 km in 785 hr 40 min (32 days 17 hr 40 min) Setting out from Bengaluru at 12.10 am on June 18, 2016 on a Yamaha FZS bike, he first reached the western extreme at Koteshwar, Gujarat on June 21, then proceeded towards the north end and touched Leh in Jammu & Kashmir on June 29, followed by the eastern end at Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh on July 8 and the southern end at Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu on July 17. He concluded the circular trip at Bengaluru at 5.50 pm on July 20, 2016.
