First Indian couple to perform Arctic Polar Plunge
Badri Narayan Baldawa and Pushpa Baldawa of Goregaon (W), Mumbai became the first Indian couple to perform the Arctic Polar Plunge, a daring act of jumping into the icy waters of the polar region, at 11.20 am and 10.45 am respectively on July 16, 2009. They had reached the North Pole the previous day, via Helsinki (Finland) and Murmansk (Russia).
