First Indian winner of International Arnis Championship
Dr Prashant Nair (V K), an orthodontist and actor currently based in Dubai, UAE, participated in the IVth Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) Hall of Fame Championship, an international Arnis full contact martial arts tournament, held at Makati on April 23, 2017 and won Gold Medal and the Overall Grand Championship title, becoming the first Indian to do so. The event had over 40 participants from 17 countries. Arnis is the traditional martial art form and national sport of the Philippines.
