First to recite National Anthem solo at Mt Everest
Ratnesh Pandey (b May 12, 1985) of Satna, Madhya Pradesh, who climbed Mount Everest (8,848 m) at 6.30 am on May 21, 2016, sang the Indian National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ at the top of the world. He accomplished it braving all odds of the death zone, characterized by 70-80% less oxygen level, –40°C temperature, 40-50 km wind speeds and so on.
