Largest Floral Carpet (Pookkalam)
To usher in the 2023 festive season of Onam, FlowersTV, in association with Asian Paints, created the world’s largest pookkalam (floral carpet), also with the largest floral image of Maveli the legendary king, at Calicut Trade Centre, Kozhikode, Kerala, India on August 20, 2023. Designed by Flowers TV Creative Team, the 40,000-sq ft pookkalam was completed by a group of 320 people, led by Art Director Sunil Lavanya, in 30 minutes using 15 tonnes of flowers. Lifeline Group of Companies, Kochi was the event management team behind the feat.
