Largest kidney removed
The world’s largest surgically removed kidney was 32 × 21.8 cm in size and weighed 7.4 kg. (A normal kidney weighs about 120-150 grams). A team of surgeons took out the cyst-covered kidney from a 56-year-old male patient suffering from autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India on Nov 25, 2019.
