Largest Kolkali Performance
The world’s largest Kolkali was organized by Mathruvedhi, Archdiocese of Thrissur at the premises of Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral, Thrissur, Kerala, India for 10 minutes from 4.00 pm on Nov 21, 2023. As part of the mega event commemorating the arrival of St Thomas the Apostle in India (AD 52), a group of 1,276 mothers, all dressed in white and red, performed the folk dance, striking small sticks to the rhythm of a song sung in honour of St Thomas.
