Largest Margamkali Performance
Mathruvedhi, an association of mothers under the auspices of Family Apostolate, Archdiocese of Changanacherry, Kerala, India successfully organized the world’s largest Margamkali at St Berchmans College Ground, Changanacherry on January 04, 2025. A group of 1840 mothers, dressed in mundu and chatta and standing in circles around a lit nilavilakku (lamp), performed the traditional dance form of Kerala’s St Thomas Christians for 10 min 45 sec.
