Longest Non-stop Thiruvathira
Ardhra School of Dance and Chaithanya Thiruvathira Sangam jointly performed the world’s longest non-stop Thiruvathira dance on Dec 26, 2023. A team of 12 dancers, accompanied by three singers and a percussionist (on idakka) performed the traditional dance continuously for 1 hour 30 minutes at Thiruthur Sri Mahadeva Temple, Anchery, Thrissur, Kerala, India. The event, organized by Usha P B, Meera Sasikumar, Swathi Ashokan and Dina, also raised funds for Solace, a charity organization working for children with long term illness.
