Longest virtual relay reading marathon
Carmel Higher Secondary School, Chalakudy, Thrissur, Kerala successfully organized the longest online reading marathon involving 300 of its students who read selected texts in relay format on Google Meet for 13 hours from 8.30 am - 9.30 pm on July 17, 2021. Under the guidance of Principal Fr Jose Thanickal CMI and monitored by a team of teachers, the students read out texts from newspapers, stories, poems, biographies, classics and sacred scriptures in three languages – English, Hindi and Malayalam. The event was also live telecast on Carmel HSS News Channel.
