To stir up excitement and enthusiasm for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup INDIA 2017 event to be held in Kochi, the Government of Kerala under the auspices of the Department of Sports & Youth Welfare Affairs and Kerala Sports Council organized the unique ‘One Million Goals’ event in which a record 20,82,996 goals were scored by the public at goal posts set up across all the 971 panchayats, 72 muncipalities and six corporations of the State from 3.00-7.00 pm on Sept 27, 2017. The programme was conducted under the chief patronage of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, FIFA U-17 World Cup Nodal Officer A P M Mohammed Hanish, IAS and Director of Sports Sanjayankumar, IFS. It was supported by The Federal Bank and managed by Lifeline Group of Companies, Kochi. The event was managed by Lifeline Group of Companies, Kochi.
