Most satellites launched in a single flight

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) set a world record in space technology when its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C37 (PSLV-C37) successfully launched 104 satellites into their orbits on Feb 15, 2017. The total weight of all the 104 satellites carried on-board was 1,378 kg. The payload included India’s 714 kg Cartosat-2 Series satellite and two ISRO Nano Satellites – INS-1 and INS-2 – and 101 satellites from other countries. The rocket lifted off from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota and achieved a polar Sun synchronous orbit at 506 km in 16 minutes 48 seconds. In the next 12 minutes, all the 104 satellites separated from the PSLV.
