Outstanding success in child rights promotion
Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS)-Don Bosco, the development organization of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, established in 1993, holds a unique and outstanding record in the promotion of child rights. Through its flagship program, Child Rights Education and Action Movement (CREAM), launched in 2012, it has so far reached out to over 2,50,000 children across 10 districts of Karnataka. As part of CREAM, children and other stakeholders have stopped 707 child marriages, rescued 2,732 children from child labour and trained 1,94,821 children on child rights.
