World’s largest model of a human organ
VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Ernakulam, Kerala, India installed the world’s largest model of a human organ, a 26 ft (7.92 m) tall and 20 ft (6.1 m) wide heart, on top of its new hospital block on Jan 12, 2019. Built as part of its ‘Committed to Preventive Healthcare’ campaign, the 1.5 tonne ‘heart’, made of metal pipes and other polythene materials, was unveiled by CEO S K Abdulla. It was completed in 15 days with the help of 15 workers under the supervision of art director Sunil Lavanya and Lifeline Group of Companies, Kochi.
