World’s longest saree/ sari
Handloom saree manufacturer and trader Biren Kumar Basak (b May 16, 1951) of Fulia, Nadia, West Bengal, India made the world’s longest saree (sari) on May 25, 2018. The 3,726.43 m (12,225.83 ft) long and 1.23 m (4.04 ft) wide saree, made of Surat/Kota hosiery staple yarn, was in the three colours of the Indian Flag. It took him and 20 helpers more than eight months to complete it.
