Youngest Doctor to be Honoured as ‘Father’ of a Field in Medical Literature
Dr Amit Kumar C Jain (b 1979), Consultant Surgeon at Amit Jain’s Institute of Diabetic Foot and Wound Care, Brindhavvan Areion Hospital, Bengaluru, India became the youngest Indian doctor to be referred to as ‘Father’ of a field in medical literature for his original innovative work in diabetic foot. He was 39 years old when he began to be considered as ‘Father of Modern Diabetic Foot Surgery’.
